1. Introduction

Wise leaders include many innovative kinds of characteristics and abilities. Apart from this, they also undertake decisions based on society, which are also beneficial for organisation. Therefore, here I will describe some characteristics, which will help me to become a wise leader in future. Based on my strengths and weaknesses, SWOT analysis will discuss and some potential way to overcome these weaknesses will elaborate.

2. Description of the Person I wish to be

I want to be a female leader in my future, which is my main vision because through the characteristics of my leadership I want to remembered by my colleagues, friends, family and others. Moreover, this vision will help to share my own vision to strangers. Therefore, some special elements are also very necessary to become a wise leader. I also inspired by some elements of wise leaders such as they have orientation beyond self- interest, they also allowed for non- rational and subjective elements. Therefore, I decided to become a wise leader and make this my future vision.  Additionally, I also want to involve myself in some social work so my friends, colleagues, and family remember me through my social responsibilities.

It seems to me that before becoming a wise leader it is also important to contribute to the world, workplace, country, family and many other places. Therefore, I will decide to work for some orphans and poor people who need food, shelter, clothes and other necessary things. Here, as a result, my society and family will remember me forever for my social work, which is also a great characteristic of a wise leader. Along with the development of society, I also want to help my ex-colleagues in their crisis so they can remember me. I also want to do something for our country’s soldiers so behind the security and development of the nation I can contribute indirectly. This way along with achieving my vision, I am able to become a good leader to my society, workplace and family.

3. Three Favourite Learning

During my leadership, I undertook different kinds of leadership styles and learned so many things. Among all of these three learning become my favourite which will be elaborated in below-

Principles of Wisdom: Some major principles of wisdom are strengths, weakness, threats and opportunities. All of these are very helpful to demonstrate self-characteristics and identify the right one. These principles are also my favourite because they help me to undertake the right decision after analysing the situation. Apart from this, in my workplace, family I also become capable of being an understanding person through these learning. Additionally, I also become able to work with flexibility in my organisation, which boosts up my self-confidence and performance.

Wise Reasoning: As a wise leader, it is very important to take the right decision and visualise the future of the consequences. Therefore, wise reasoning also became my favourite learning because I think in leadership leaders always need to undertake the right decision for their colleagues, even for the whole organisation. Here, a small mistake can harmful for overall organisation. Apart from this, in the case of family matters it is also important to undertake decisions wisely so it does not hurt anyone.

Critical Thinking Skill and High Intelligence: I have learned that before taking any decision to become a wise leader above learning are very useful. Along with this, in order to evaluate the decision and analyse its impact on outcome this principle is equally beneficial to me. Here, it will also help me to judge my surrounding situation and person. Consequently, it will helps me to identify the right person or situation that has a positive impact in the way of my leadership. Moreover, through this learning I will also become aware of available resources, priorities, and its accountability in the workplace.

4. Self- SWOT

            [Refer to Appendix]

Here, I will critically analyse the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that will shape me as a leader. Apart from this, this above mind map also allows me to describe my status that represents my social values as well.

Strengths: I always try to maintain a highly ethical and moral attitude that increases my self- confidence and self- esteem. Moreover, according to my colleagues this attitude also inspires them to become a wise leader like me. It is a great achievement for me, which increases my strengths. An additional strength is constructive values that also help me at the time of my leadership. Here, through these constructive values I demonstrate every problem that faced by me and find out the right solution to overcome these.

Weakness: Often, I realise that I become too humble in front of my family, which creates obstacles in my decision-making process. Along with this, if somebody told me not continue any work then immediately I stopped this. Sometimes, I get confused, which affects my confidence. On the other hand, in my workplace, I was not able to balance between combinational elements so it became difficult for me to demonstrate these elements and get positive benefits from this.

Threats: It already mentioned that in order to become a best wise leader I nurture with several variability of leadership. Therefore, I also get a wide range of knowledge from this nurturing. Consequently, sometimes a wide range of knowledge confuses me and I fail to choose the right characteristics that are suitable for a wise leader. This has become a major threat to me, which also affects my workplace. Apart from this, I also want to combine all of the leadership styles to remember my colleagues.

Opportunities: At the time of my leadership, I also included some opportunities, which boost up my value as a leader. Here, good decisions in an emergency help me to improve my leadership style. Therefore, as a result I also contribute behind my organisation’s development. On the other hand, I always try to follow my seniors and understand their skills and attitude so I am able to develop both of my skills and attitude. Therefore, my right motivation skills also help them to achieve my goals and vision, which is to become a wise leader.

5. Forecasting and Planning

Obstacles of the career path

As a leader, I faced different challenges or obstacles in my professional career such as providing inspiration, leading the change, handling different perspectives, developing other team members and so on. All of the team members look at the leader complete their work (Kuluski, Reid & Baker, 2021). However, I did not have the balance in combination elements. It made my work difficult as a leader because when I used to lead my team in the workplace. At the same time, developing other individuals was a major challenge. However, I was too humble and sometimes humidity becomes an obstacle in developing other team members. I did not have a proper combination of different elements like communication problem solving skills and confidence. I was not able to communicate with my team members in a proper way that created different conflicts and misunderstanding among team members. Handling different perspectives is another crucial aspect for the workplace. The leaders need to handle different conflicts among the employees. They need to solve different complex problems on a daily basis. At the same time, the leaders need to take care of the different aspects of the business operations. I did not have a proper balance of combination elements because of this reason I faced various difficulties in my career. I was not able to solve multiple problems at the same time, which is a common feature of an organisational leader.

Effects of the weakness

Every individual has some personal weaknesses. Our weaknesses make us vulnerable to the career obstacles that we face. I have several weaknesses such as I am too humble and that makes me vulnerable and creates different obstacles in my career path. In the initial stage of my career, I was not a senior level executive in the company. However, I was a talented individual and managed to resolve some complex management problems.  My senior manager took all the credit for that and because of my humble nature; I could not say anything to the higher management. This kind of attitude affected my career in a negative way. I did not get my due credit because of my humble nature. At the same time, I did not have a proper balance of the combination elements. Elements such as communication, problem-solving skills, as a leader present me as an example to the employees. I was not able to use these skills together in a combination. In some of the cases, my communication with the lower level employees was excellent however; I could not present myself as an example to them. This kind of personal weakness made me vulnerable to the different obstacles that I faced in my professional life.

Usage of personal strengths to overcome the weakness

My personal strengths are that I am highly ethical and have constructive values and attitude. I faced different challenges in my professional career such as providing inspiration, handling different perspectives, developing other team members and other challenges as well. However, I was able to resolve these problems because of my personal strength such as ethical and moral values. Moral values include a lot of factors such as honesty, justice, mutual respect, integrity, responsibility and transparency (Khalil & Kier, 2021). As a leader, an individual needs to handle different perspectives of a business organisation such as successful completion of projects, maintaining a proper communication with the employees and resolving personal and professional conflicts with the different team members. I was able to handle all these things successfully because I was responsible and maintained mutual respect with all the team members and I was transparent with my actions.

At the same time, I was taking some constructive measures to improve the condition of the workplace. My constructive values were a huge help in order to develop other team members and provide them inspiration. As a leader, I always focused on the constructive elements of the leadership and it created a positive impact among all the employees.

Ways to increase the possibility of reaching the goal

People learn from their mistakes and try to improve their performance as a professional. My weaknesses are that I am too humble and at the same time, I do not have any proper balance of combination elements. Combination elements such as communication problem solving skills present me as an example to the employees and others as well. I learn during my professional career that effective communication a leader needs to solve problems quickly. Only good communication will not be effective to resolve different problems regarding organisational management. At the same time, I learned that my strengths such as high moral and ethical values are quite effective in building a team and motivating the other team members. With an effective team, I can conduct excellent business operations and it will be beneficial to achieve my goals. My other strength is constructive values; I always focus on positive or constructive factors that can be beneficial for the organisation. At the same time, constructive values are helpful for building an effective team and inspiring the employees (Argyropoulou, Syka & Papaioannou, 2021). It helps to increase the work productivity in the workplace. This is how I was able to use my strengths and the knowledge gained from the mistakes made in order to achieve my goals.
