Summative Assessment Point 2 Brief, Guidelines and Marking Criteria
For this assignment, you are required to find and promote an innovative product/service within an organization of your choice. In your assignment, you need to focus on the below:
- Give a brief introduction of the innovative product/service you are thinking about within an organization of your choice.
- Analyze how you are going to promote your idea internally to your colleagues (e.g. meetings, presenting and disseminating the information).
- Explain how you are going to convince them that this product/service is applicable and that it will create a competitive advantage in the market.
- Refer to a similar product/service that your competitors have and analyze how the competitors’ product can be considered as a threat to your new product/service.
- Estimate how much will the whole procedure cost to the business.
- In your conclusions, describe how the new product/service will influence the whole organization’s environment.

As in any other piece of academic writing, it’s essential to redraft, edit and proofread your report before you submit it.

- The submission of the essay is due by the end of Week 7, Sunday 11:59 pm (23:59 hours) VLE (UTC) time on the due date at the latest and it weighs 50% of the final grade.
- The essay will be submitted via Turnitin and it must be in PDF format.
