This assignment builds on the individual skills you have gained in your assignments to date during your first year:

- Foundations in Nursing Practice – application of nursing beliefs and philosophies and The Code (NMC, 2018) to care via a case study example
- Foundations of Anatomy, Physiology and Pharmacology – principles of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, immunology, and microbiology
- Influence on Wellbeing – influences on wellbeing throughout the lifespan including physical, psychological, and social aspects
This assignment gives you the opportunity to combine all of those skills and apply them to a case study specific to your field of practice.
The assignment is to be submitted via Turnitin and should be 3000-words (+10% maximum).

There is some supplementary information about the ADPIE nursing process in the VLE folder in the Learning Materials section of the module shell that may also be helpful.

Keep this brief and try to avoid repeating everything that is in the profile. Try to imagine they are a real person and only focus on the issues relevant to the assignment.It may be useful to briefly note the importance of the nursing process, assessment and care planning within the specific field of nursing practice you are studying and link this to the NMC code (NMC,2018). |
