Section | Description |
Title page | The opening page includes all relevant information about the project. Student numbers and titles should be clear. No names. |

Table of contents. | A list of chapters and figures from your project. Use the ‘headings’ organisers in MS Word for each navigation. |
List of Figures and tables. | List your figures and tables |
Chapter 1: Introduction. | An overview of the rationale behind your project and why it is important. This section also includes a summary and evaluation of the literature (wider reading) supporting your project and what is previously known about this topic, and what is not known (hence your topic choice). |
Chapter 2: Method. | A description of the specific methodology used in your project and the data analysis process. |
Chapter 3: Results. | An overview of the key findings or data from your research. This section should include your results only with tables/charts/figures as appropriate. All tables/charts/figures should be labelled and referred to in the text. If this work is qualitative, it may alternatively include the quotes/materials/ key points from interviews organised into themes. |
Chapter 4: Analysis and Discussion. | A description of what the results mean and what you can draw from the findings. This should be supported by the wider literature. |
Chapter 5: Conclusion. | A summary of your overall key findings and what they mean for public health/health promotion/health education or professional practice. You should state what these findings mean for practice/future research/policy etc. |
References | A list of all the references cited using the USW Harvard referencing format. |
Appendices | Any additional materials used in your research if appropriate. |
- All work should be of level 7 MSc Public Health standard, and be spell/grammar checked before submission. Marks can be removed from any section for non-compliance with the guidance.
- You must be the author of the document that you submit to Turnitin and the whole project write-up must be done by you including the data analysis.
