Submission: Mathematics Investigation and Reflection Assignment Help

Turnitin
Format:
Individual written document.
Uses the current APA referencing style correctly.
Length:
2,000 words
Threshold Detail:
For this assessment task you must obtain at least 50% of the overall result (i.e. 25 points). If the total result for this unit is at least 50 points but you scored less than 25 points for this assessment task, then your overall grade will be CF (i.e. Compulsory Fail).
Use of Artificial Intelligence:
Use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools to brainstorm ideas, summarise reading material or to edit your submission is permitted. Ensure you keep a copy of your original work prior to the use of any edit tools. The content of your final submission must be your original work. Be aware that the output from generative Al tools may be incorrect, incomplete or biased. Working with another person or technology in order to gain an unfair advantage in assessment or improperly obtaining answers from a third party including generative Al to questions in an examination or other form of assessment may lead to sanctions under the Student Misconduct Rule.
Instructions:
This assessment task requires you to solve a series of mathematical questions using problem-solving strategies. For each mathematical question you are required to solve the problem using an identified strategy, as well as showing full working out using two different representations. In addition to providing a solution to the problem, you will be required to give an explanation of the mathematical reasoning behind your approach.
You are required to display the solution to each problem in the most appropriate way justifying your choice. Additionally, you will be required to reflect on your understanding of mathematical concepts and use of problem-solving strategies, with links to appropriate contemporary mathematics literature.
SUBMISSION DETAILS
Completed assessment including all key components of the task
Submit a draft of your assessment (not a PDF) to Turnitin at least 1-week before the specified due date, so that you have ample time to review your Originality Report and edit your work
Submit an electronic copy of your final assessment to Turnitin by the specified due date, so as not to incur a penalty.
Include your reference list
Assessments submitted after the due date and time, without an approved extension, will be penalised 10% per day for late submission
The word count +/- 10% must be adhered to
You must keep a copy of your assessment
ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
Mathematical content knowledge is demonstrated through explanations of the investigation process.
Mathematical content knowledge is supported and demonstrated by calculations and examples that show evidence of understanding.
Appropriate problem-solving strategies and approaches are identified and justified as part of each problem solution.
The mathematical content, language and processes are identified and explained.
Presents work professionally, with clear academic writing, in a report not question and answer format, and within the word limit using APA referencing style correctly for both in text citations and reference list.
Reflection clearly examines the learning gained from undertaking the mathematical investigation and engagement in the process is obvious.
Submits the completed task to Turnitin and records a low percentage of similarity matches in the originality report.
ASSESSMENT STANDARDS
The assessment standards outline what is expected for each of these criteria in order to pass this assessment, and to gain higher grades of credit, distinction and high distinction. All markers use these standards when assessing your work and you are strongly advised to use them to self-assess prior to submitting your assessment.
