Task: Select ONE country of the countries listed below and investigate the extent to which educational access and participation is affected by development related issues (these might include: poverty, malnutrition, and waterborne disease; child labour; gender equality, human trafficking; disabilities and refugees).
Investigate the issue using a range of academic and non-academic sources. The latter might include information sourced via the websites of relevant Intergovernmental Organisations (IGO) e.g., UNICEF, UNESCO; governmental organisations e.g.: AusAID (the Australian Government’s aid agency); and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) e.g., Oxfam, World Vision, Save the Children Fund and the International Women’s Development Agency.

- an evaluation of the interventions of IGOs, NGOs and governments, especially in terms of their impact on educational access and participation within the selected country (approx. 300 words).
