Website brief

The website must contain the following:

  1. Each page should have at least text and a multimedia element (image, video, sound, etc),
  2. A consistent layout throughout including the use of columns to create responsive website (media query),
  3. 3 comments at each page,
  4. A consistent use of colour, text style and link style throughout,
  5. A consistent scheme for navigating the site with working links,
  6. At least one link to an external document,
  7. At least one email link,
  8. Contact form and map on contact page,
  9. At least four meta-tags to identify the website and its content,
  10. The web pages files named according to an appropriate naming convention.
  11. External CSS file,
  12. Folder with images named according to an appropriate naming convention.

You must also produce:

  • a requirements list that matches the given brief, including the target audience of the website for the given brief, hardware and software required to develop the site, produce a plan for a website
  • an outline design that shows the site map for the overall website and  the layout for each page using a recognised planning method such as storyboarding or web wireframing, visual layout and readability
  • a test plan for testing navigation and hyperlinks on the website and for performance against three different target client systems (ie three different hardware/software combinations)
