Review study guides related to assignment planning and critical reading which are available to meet LO requirements, academic support could also be accessed to review your work prior to submission. <10 marksThe work examined  is sufficient to display basic knowledge and understanding but is largely descriptive. There is an attempt to bring together different aspects with little evidence of analysis of relevant factors included and limited use of references to support points.  Review study guides related to assignment planning and critical reading which are available to improve and develop higher order skills. 10-12 marksThe work examined is good and demonstrates sound understanding of some of the drivers with some interpretation and comparison of relevant factors included. Competent use of source material using a variety of recent literature.   12-14 marksVery good, the work examined is coherently structured, demonstrates a substantial knowledge and understanding of the drivers, which analyses the main factors supported by very good use of source material using a range of sources. 15-17 marksThe work examined is excellent and demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the drivers. There is coherence of ideas which evaluates the drivers, supported with compelling evaluation and interpretation with effective use of source material and accurate referencing.  >17 marks

The work is heavily dependent on description with poor evidence of linking the factors included. There is barely adequate use of literature or reading around the topic to support content. Review study guides related to assignment planning and critical reading which are available to improve and develop higher order skills and access academic support.  <10 marksThe work examined  is sufficient to display basic knowledge and understanding applied to new developments. There is some attempt to discuss links applied to the impact on health but is largely descriptive. There is little evidence of analysis of relevant factors included with limited use of references to support points. The development of these points would need to be included to improve grade.   Review study guides related to assignment planning and critical reading which are available to improve and develop higher order skills and access academic support. 10-12 marksThe work examined is good and demonstrates sound understanding of the new developments examined.  There is some interpretation of the challenges etc. relevant to the impact on the health status.   Competent use of source material using a variety of recent literature to support main points. 12-14 marksVery good, the work examined is coherently structured, demonstrates a substantial knowledge which examines new developments and explores many of the challenges etc. with a clear understanding which analyses issues relevant to the impact on health status.  There is a good attempt to evaluate these factors supported by very good use of source material using a range of sources to support main points. 15-17 marksThe work examined is excellent and demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding which examines the challenges etc. of the new developments examined. There is coherence of ideas with analysis of factors considering the impact on health status, with compelling evaluation and interpretation which is supported with effective use of source material and accurate referencing. >17 marks

There is an attempt to bring together different ideas and concepts with evidence of some analysis of the issues, with limited use of source literature to support points included. These points would improve your grade and to review study guides in critical reading and research, and access academic support in planning and to review your work prior to submission.  10-12 marksThe exhibition content examined is good,  demonstrating evidence of sound understanding.  There is some interpretation and analysis of different factors relevant but sometimes prone to description or narrative which at times lacks clarity of relevant perspectives.    Competent use of relevant and current source material to support to illustrate points. 12-14 marksVery good, the exhibition content examined demonstrates a substantial knowledge.   There is evidence of formulation of a good analysis containing some independent thinking  with attempts to evaluate issues.  Very good use of source material used to support the main points included. 15-17 marksThe exhibition content examined is excellent and demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding. Presentation and Academic Writing StandardsFailPassMeritDistinctionDistinction*
Report Structure and PresentationThe presentation is poorly structured, incoherent and wholly descriptive work. References to sources are few or none. Presentation is acceptable, but attention to structure and style required. References to sources are included. Presentation is of a good standard but some shortcomings. The structure closely follows the style detailed in the Guide to Essay Writing, meeting  some of the NCD submission requirements.Very good presentation. Content is wholly relevant and is coherently structured. The structure very closely follows the style detailed in the Guide to Essay Writing and meets most NCD submission requirements.Extremely good work, with presentation of a high standard. The structure follows the style detailed in the Guide to Essay Writing and fully meets NCD submission requirements.
Research and referencing        Limited evidence of appropriate reading and no critical thought. Little reference to practice. No external information considered.    Referencing is either inconsistent, not to NCD Guidelines or not attempted. Some evidence of reading, although arguments lack coherence or are unsubstantiated by relevant source material. Some links to practice. Some reference to external information.   Harvard referencing is attempted but is inconsistently used for in-text citations and/or Bibliographical and/or References listings.Contains some critical reflection and use of source material to illustrate points. Ideas are supported by appropriate literature referenced.   Harvard referencing is used both for in-text citations and Bibliographical and/or References listings but either does not meet the NCD Guidance or is inconsistent.Good use of source materials which supports most points clearly. Integration of literature is accurately referenced.   Harvard referencing for both for in-text citations and Bibliographical and/or References listings is to a high standard but not wholly accurate or does not meet the NCD Guidelines.Source material is used effectively to support arguments, ideas and solutions. Evidence of a breadth of reading that allows an in depth exploration of the theory, literature, accurately referenced.   Harvard referencing is wholly accurate both for in-text citations and Bibliographical and/or References listings and in accordance with NCD Guidance.
Spelling, punctuation and grammarPoor standard of spelling punctuation and grammar with little or no evidence of spell checking or proof reading.Several spelling, punctuation and/or grammatical errors which could have been minimised with proof reading and/or spell/grammar checking.A number of spelling, punctuation and/or grammar errors are evident throughout. Use of spell check tools and reading over your work may help identify errors prior to submission.Few if any spelling, punctuation and/or grammar errors. An extremely good standard of spelling, punctuation and grammar throughout.
