Dear Candidate,
The assignment consists of two exercises – Exercise 1 and Exercise 2
Exercise 1: This exercise is based on a payer research which is aimed to understand unmet need for a new therapy in patients with Enteric Hyperoxaluria. The other objectives of research include assessment of endpoint value drivers for reimbursement, likely HTA outcomes (for France and Germany)/coverage (for US) of Product X in Enteric Hyperoxaluria. Please go through the attached background slides to understand the disease and then analyse the data in the attached excel sheet which are responses from the payers.
Please note that the assessment consists of responses from 22 payers (from 3 countries) on 5 questions. You are expected to synthesize slides (7-8 core slides, but you are free to prepare more slides) based on the given data. The output will be judged based on the following:
- Your understanding of the issue discussed in the survey
- Story synthesis (e.g., developing key themes and sequencing of the slides)
- Interpretation and knowledge of country-specific themes and consultative recommendations
- Writing skills: framing of sentences, writing concisely, provide clear descriptions, vocabulary used
- Synthesis of qualitative/quantitative data (e.g., selection of appropriate graphs/charts, user-friendly depiction of the qualitative/quantitative data)
- Overall quality of the slide deck
Please note that data on HTA might have some gaps as the data are a sample from a much larger project. We are more interested in your approach and presentation of the results from such questions rather than accuracy of the numbers. Therefore, do not waste a lot of time, but certainly give reasonable attention.
Exercise 2: Please prepare 1 slide explaining the current German health care system. In the slide, outline the relevant stakeholders and the HTA (benefit assessment) process in Germany. Please note that you can use google search, secondary research, publications, relevant websites or any validated source to extract the information. However, do mention the source at the bottom of slide.
