Assessment 2: In-class approach-specific study and presentation (70%)
• You will be asked to present to the rest of the group an assessment which examines either quantitative or qualitative skills (the approach chosen is likely to be linked to the approach you are most likely to use for your project).
• Marking criteria and sheets are available for you to see on Moodle
Quantitative: Meta-analysis You will be asked to present to the rest of the group your meta-analysis. The Assessment Workshop session will contain specific assessment information and will highlight the range of data which you may choose to present.
Presentation (alternative assessment):
The alternative assessment involves submitting an individual written report rather than a group presentation.
Quantitative alternative 1,500-word written meta-analysis on a topic of your choice. You should use 5 – 8 articles. If you have any questions related to this part of the assessment, please contact Dr Chris Tyler.
The write-up should contain the following sections: • Introduction (Please be brief but provide enough information to justify your research question) • Methods • Results • Conclusion (Due to the word constraints there is no need for a discussion) Please consult the Assessment Guide for specific information and make sure that you follow the guidelines on Moodle.
