Project 1
Using the templates provided, prepare and submit 4 lesson plans for the following topics:
Lesson 3 – Moving off and stopping
Lesson 6 – Scanning
Lesson 11 – Changing lanes
Lesson 14 – Decision making
You can use the NSW Learner Driver Log Book as a refence for lesson content.
The skills you must demonstrate include:
- language, literacy and numeracy skills appropriate to this unit and the qualification level
- cognitive skills to develop program content and structure
- evaluation skills to determine the time required for each learning segment and the overall timeline of the learning program
- the ability to manage your time and actions to ensure the lesson is delivered in a timely manner
Project 2
You will be required to deliver 4 training sessions in your final practical assessment. The practical assessment will be conducted in a real industry workplace (an instructor vehicle).
You will be given different scenarios for student experience, LLN, etc. by your assessor 10 minutes before you are required to deliver each training session. The lesson must be conducted in a variety of traffic and road conditions. You must also complete the student record documentation required in your state at the end of each session.
