Assessment 2: Portfolio (Continuous Assessment)
Assessment description
This assessment is comprised of FOUR related tasks. It is designed so that each task builds on the content covered and the work you have done in your weekly course activities.
Where required, templates and other support are provided to assist you in responding to the tasks.
Some tasks will require referencing. You must use the UniSA Harvard Referencing system for in-text references and your reference list for ALL material that is not your own. This includes academic references, quality primary sources, e.g., government websites, images apart from your own, and online articles.
When considering references for your answers, you may use the course readings, but are also expected to research information more widely and refer to additional literature. Remember that in many instances videos including lecture videos and those from YouTube, as shown in the weekly materials are for teaching and illustrative purposes, so it is expected that you use scholarly publications for your assessments rather than reference these sources.
Assessment 2 – Portfolio Task 2: Short Report, Project Plan, Evaluative Framework
Using a designated template, you will write an evaluative framework for the proposed project. The assessment will be presented in a table format and the word count is 600 words equivalent. The evaluative framework will measure the output, impact, and outcomes of the project. The template has been adapted from one provided through the website www.tools4dev.org (tools4dev 2018). The website was developed by two experienced non-government organisation (NGO) administrators to assist professionals and aid workers when they need to prepare project documents. The site has a range of tools that are accessible, relatively simple to use, and freely available.
This is the link to the template you will be using for your evaluative framework. Here is an example of how to use the template.
It is important that you base your evaluation plan on evidence wherever possible. For example, drawing on evidence to support your baseline data and targets, and utilising valid and reliable survey tools in your methodology. Examples of sources of evidence to refer to could include City of Horizon statistics, Australian health statistics, similar research studies, evaluations of similar projects, and existing valid and reliable survey tools.
