Purpose:
Ensuring that an organization has the appropriate job description is only part of the process of preparing for a new employee. The purpose of this assignment is to build on Assignment 1: Planning a New Position.
In this assignment, you will gain experience in:
- Create an orientation and training plan to support the new employee
Instructions:
Based on the job details you defined in Assignment 1, develop an orientation and training plan for the first three months of employment. You will create a detailed orientation chart for the first week. You will then create a detailed 3-month training chart for your new employee.
Orientation: Identify the elements which will be included in the orientation. When creating the training schedule be sure to include the timing of the orientation and the method(s) by which the elements will be delivered.
Training Plan (initial three months): The program to train new employees in specific skills they may be lacking. This includes the topic of the training, the method which will be used to deliver the training, and when the training will occur.
