Background to this assessment | Disruption, innovation, sustainability and diversity are all important factors driving change in the global business environment. The current and future uncertainties in the wider macro-environment increase disruption in the global business environment. The need to respond to these as well as social factors such as diversity within business organisations and in their markets require innovative responses. This assessment follows on from Assessment 1 and draws on the theories and content in Topics 3-7 of the course. Please carefully read all of the information provided in this document including the assessment marking criteria at the end. |

Evaluation For each of areas of the Evaluation 2.1 Disruption 2.2 Innovation 2.3 Sustainability 2.4 Diversity In sections 2.1 to 2.4 you must: Apply relevant theories and critically analyse possible responses to meet any threats or opportunities that arise from 2.1 Disruption, 2.2 Innovation, 2.3 Sustainability and 2.4 Diversity on the business This may include any key learnings of what can be learned from the actions of other businesses. Identify at least one action that the business should take in each of the above areas during the next 5 years to respond to changes that result from issues raised in 21, 2.2, 2,3 and 2.4. Insert relevant infographics in each of these sections to support your evaluation. A recorded oral explanation should be provided to explain the detail in each section. ConclusionProvide a clear and systematic summary of each section of the presentation and highlight the main findings of each section, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4. RecommendationsProvide a list of actions that the Board should take to meet the challenges of the opportunities and threats raised in the Evaluation section of your presentation. It is likely that you may have one Recommendation for each of the areas above – 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4. These should provide clear guidance for the Board of your selected business in terms of how to respond to the issues raised in the Evaluation. References Provide a list of all reference used in the presentation in APA 7th edition style. Preparing your presentation Your presentation is to be prepared in a visual and infographic style. This means that you must include a minimum of four infographics in your presentation (graphs, charts, tables, pictures, or diagrams) which are supported by the written information in the presentation. These should be placed in sections 2.1 to 204 and other sections where you judge these to be relevant. Text should be brief and your recorded narration will provide explanations of the detail in each section, including explaining the relevance of the infographics in the presentation. How to record your presentation: Record your presentation in PowerPoint or other suitable presentation software. To record your narration of the main points and supporting explanations in PowerPoint, please click on:” Slideshow” in your toolbar at the top of each slide and then click on “Record Slide Show”. You can speak and record sound in each slide individually and then use the settings to the right of this to automate the playback of your presentation if you wish: General requirements Insert a minimum of four highly informative infographics within the presentation to convey complex and interesting information in a graphic form – you also need to explain these in your recorded narration. Time limit: 15 minutes +/- 2 minutes. Your presentation must include links to academic theory throughout the presentation, along with examples and case study references from academic journal articles, global and NZ businesses and industry and company information. Your presentation should be prepared using presentation software such as PowerPoint. Your narration of each topic should be recorded in each section of the presentation. Use of the Notes Page in each presentation slide would be useful for you (View, Notes Page on the Toolbar of your PPT slides) as the basis of your recorded narration as this provides more detail than in your presentation slides. A signed EIT Assessment cover page and Plagiarism Declaration is to be attached to the front page of your presentation confirming that the assignment is solely the work of the student who submits it. All sources and quotations must be acknowledged using in-text citations and reference list formatted using APA 7th edition style.
