The purpose of this assessment task is to link an Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander artwork with an issue that relates to health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and explore the associated cultural and historical factors.
Each student is required to plan, create and submit a recorded presentation.
The presentation must include recorded narration and can be created using PowerPoint or other video / slide platform compatible with Canvas.
In order to be successful in this assessment task students are required to:
1. Provide a clear image or link to a piece of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander artwork.
2. Explain why the artwork resonated with the student and why they feel it is important;
3. Describe how the knowledge, culture and history represented in this art work relates to the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people; and
4. Use evidence / statistics to clearly identify why the topic is relevant to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and explore the identified issues
Students are not required to seek a solution to the issue they are exploring but rather to demonstrate their understanding of the issue they are exploring.
Presentation Guidelines:
- This assignment is to be submitted in narrated presentation format (eg. narrated slides or video).
- Presentation is to be professional, clear and visually appealing with audible and articulate narration and 4 -6 minutes in length.
- File format must be compatible with Canvas
