The assessment for this module consists of TWOelements as outlined below. Assessment will be conducted and administered in accordance to the DMU assessment regulations (see further below for an excerpt of relevant provisions).
You are required to select a global company for research and study and record a 10-minute video podcast with a written report of 2000 words (+/- 100 words).
Note: You are required to submit the Written Report to Turnitin via Canvas. The references used should adhere to Harvard Referencing Standards. - To analyze the business strategies and challenges of your self-selected global/ local organization with critical evaluation on its macro-environment, industry, resources and capabilities. Recommendations should be formed based on generic competitive strategies.

Video Podcast
The purpose of the video podcast is to showcase student’s ability & learning attainment by verbally presenting (with presentation slides as visual aid) the research findings and recommendations.
Students need to demonstrate energy and enthusiasm towards the topic and be able to apply good presentation skills in engaging the audience interest. It is essential that students could show strong evidence of quality research and connection to the learned concepts in business strategy.

Re-assessments
Students who fail an assessment component will be reassessed for the failed component as follows:
- VideoPodcast:‘IncourseRe-assessment’– Should you receive a mark between 30-39% for this component, you are offered the opportunity resubmit your podcast and written report within a stated time period of receipt of your original mark.
- VideoPodcast:Any student who fails this assessment or is eligible for, but who does not undertake the ‘In-course Re-assessment’ opportunity will be asked to do and submit another podcast and written report in accordance with the standard calendar provisions for reassessed coursework.
- Examination:Students who failed the final exam will be reassessed with a resit-exam.
NOTES:
- Further details and reassessment guidelines will be given after module completion to those who will need to be reassessed. In the case of re-assessment work submitted, the overall mark for the module will be capped at 40% in accordance with university regulations.
- As per the DMU assessment policy, there is a requirement for written coursework, at all levels, to be checked for originality using Turnitin where this is appropriate to the learning outcomes and assessment design.

All students will be informed via Canvas announcement when their assessment is marked. You are strongly encouraged to discuss your written or in some cases audio feedback with your module leader if you have any questions or concerns. Modules assessed wholly or in part by examination may have generic feedback on examination performance made available via Canvas.
All marks on assessed work are provisional marks only and they will not be confirmed until the Assessment Board meets. Marks and feedback on assessed work will be available within 20 days. The turnaround time does not include weekends, bank holidays or university closure days.
