1.     Introduction

The primary purpose of the report is to prepare a project management plan for the Royal Melbourne Show while outlining the key project management concepts. The context and the main objectives of this event will be described in this paper. The project scope of the show, the key deliverables, and the milestones, are discussed in this paper. This study also contains the success criteria and the requirements of the show that can make the event successful will be also mentioned. Following this the main risk that can harm the success of the show will be outlined. At the end of the report, the estimated budget and the whole process of organizing the event will be also discussed for the better success of the Royal Melbourne Show.

2. Project’s context, objectives and purpose


Melbourne royal Show is the well-organized show that was held by the royal agricultural society of Victoria. This is the show that includes an extensive entertainment program and contains a wide mix of services according to the people (Melbourne Royal Show. 2022). Approximately, half a millions of people visit and participate in various programs in the show. The entertainment in the Melbourne Royal show includes several live shows, several activities, and this show have the reflection of the several entertainers who have the getup of mickey mouse and Minnie mouse.

These types can be held through the unwanted issues that can ruin the program and the Australian customers can feel unsafe due to which the event will fail there can various types of losses can be occurred which include economic as well as life losses. Crowd management is one of the risks that can make the public uncomfortable and make the environment of the event very rough and hard (Iriarte & Bayona, 2020). The insecurity risk of the customer’s assets such as their vehicles, or any other things is also one of the risks in the show. The absence of arrangement of a hygienic environment and lack of proper facilities for the people can also reduce the number of customers. The deficiency of public transport and traffic management system can be a risk to the show that can reduce the number of customers who wants to enjoy the show and also the venue risk of the show can also make the show unsuccessful. The risk of unpredictable weather can also harm the Melbourne Royal show and this can cause harass the crowd (Barghi, 2020). The staff and voluntary safety are also very important in the event as they play a very critical role in the success of the event.

These risks can be reduced by following the rules and regulations of all the safety measures. The organizing process of this event must be according to the instructions for the welfare of the public. The organizing team should know and understand the importance of all the safety measures that can be beneficial for the health and economy of the Australian people as well as the event too (Damayanti et al., 2019). The risk of crowd management can be reduced when the venue of the event should be in the proper place and the area of the venue can be the proper size for the event. The organizing team of the show should fix some rules for the entry and exit gates so that the public cannot disturb each other while roaming inside the event. Fire hazards and also medical assistance should be present during the whole process for the comfort of the people (Unterhitzenberger & Bryde, 2019). The security guards should be associated with the event so that they can manage and control the public crowd and can also remove the disturbing element for the better success of the event.

The environment inside the show must be friendly and the Australian people can be comfortable and feel safe inside the Melbourne Royal Show. The security of the children participating in the show and their caring process should be in a proper way. The entertainment activities should be planned in a proper manner so that the organizing team can reduce the risk of the event. The technique of arrangement of the event should be in a way that can ensure the public that they are safe from the unpredictable weather.
