Context:
As part of the subject, you will work as a group (3 – 4 students in each group) to analyse and develop a business strategy for an organisation. Your group composition and topic will be decided by the end of Module 2.
You should approach the project from the perspective of a consultant providing advice on a specific problem facing the organisation.
Instructions:
Teams will be required to prepare a report and a presentation of no more than 20 minutes. All members of the team will be required to present.
The presentation will be directed to the management of a decision making body that is empowered to approve or reject the team’s recommendation.
The assessment of group presentations will be based on the following factors:
- Clarity and thoroughness with which the team identifies and analyses business issues
- The quality (depth and breadth) of team’s analysis, problem solving and strategy development
- The breadth, depth and practicality of the team’s recommendations, degree of detail and specificity of recommended actions, quality of supporting arguments
- Presentation structure, flow, logic and style; ability to maintain the focus of the audience
- The degree of preparation, professionalism, energy, enthusiasm and skills demonstrated in delivering the presentation
- Report content and presentation, the quality of business writing
- Level of group cooperation
The report and presentation will be due at the end of Module 5 in class (week 10)
